To whom it may concern,
Today is a great day. Why? Because the fall acoustic tour of 2010 will commence today in Greenville, SC!!! I wasn’t gonna make a big stink about naming this shindig, but at the last minute I took a good look at what had come together and I said to myself, “You know…we have ourselves a living breathing thing here…it’s going to need a name.” And so I named it.
People of the internet, meet “Falling From The Sky Tour 2010.” ”Falling From The Sky Tour 2010,” meet the people of the internet.
Get to know each other. Your time together will be short. Come this time next month, your relationship will be nothing but a memory. Make it count.
And don’t bite each other.
In all seriousness, I am really looking forward to this. This will most likely be my last “tour” before I record & release a new record. I plan on introducing some new songs, celebrating some old songs, and being present with all you kind people who make it possible for me to have this crazy cool job. I’ll also be sharing a new idea that I’ve been cooking up called “Free The Birds.” I’m pretty amped about it. You’ll see…
There is chatter and efforts are being made to possibly add a couple last-minute shows on the back end of this tour, so stay posted! For those of you who are bummed that I’m not coming to your town, know that I am bummed as well, and that I appreciate the fact that you are bummed even though it hurts me. It’s complicated.
